Dating from around 1900 a silk embroidered wall hanging from the Arts and Crafts period with Art Nouveau influences.
With a stylised flowering tree of life and hand embroidered in softly coloured silks, this antique textile reminds me of the work of The Glasgow School artists.
Hand embroidered onto a natural coloured heavy silk it can be used as a hanging or would make a fabulous headboard.
In excellent condition with a light watermark which it may be possible to remove or improve upon with specialist cleaning. All of our textiles are antique and as such have all the idiosyncrasies of old and loved items so small flaws, marks or loose threads, are to be expected.
