From the Central Asia comes this wonderful shocking pink and yellow brocade frock coat.
Made sometime during the first half of the 20th century using a 19th century handmade silk brocade it has been styled on a European Edwardian frock coat.
The vibrant silk satin brocade used in the making of the coat is much earlier and dates from the 19th century.
The coat has been lined in a red and black cotton print. The shawl collar is edged in a very dark brown/black lace and the coat has decorative borders of silver gilt wrapped crotchet lace running down either side of the front openings and around the hems.
The frock coat is in excellent antique condition.
