Dating form the 1950s a vintage design based on earlier toile de Jouey designs.
Beautifully drawn this good sized cotton panel has a fantastical country scene with bare footed figures and goats gathering under a tree which is also a fountain in whose branches a cherub sits surrounded by exotic birds. In an ivy bower a pair of deer stand.
