Large Hand Embroidered Silk Brocade Hanging with Wisteria and Good Luck Symbolism: C1910 Japan
A large Japanese fine silk brocade panel dripping with hand embroidered gold work and floss silk wisteria, cherry blossom and symbols of good luck.
Hand worked in Japan around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries C1900/1910, it was probably made as a wedding present for a bride.
The panels is in good antique condition with some light rubs to the surface of the silk embroidery, all as you would expect in an antique textile.
The textile is fully lined in a lightweight pink cotton.
