Antique Mother of Pearl Carved and Etched Nacre Shell C19th
Dating from the second half of the 19th century from Indochina, a highly decorative intricately carved and engraved nacre shell with depictions of peacocks amongst opulent foliage and flowers.
Most probably made for export and to be mounted as a hair comb for the European market.
In excellent antique condition. Would look wonderful mounted onto stretched silk and framed. Please contact our studio for this service.
