Chinese Silk Embroidered Wall Hanging C19th
From China first half of the 19th century.
Embroidered in floss silks onto Stroud scarlet wool broadcloth.
The embroidery is alive with symbolism including bats, peonies, and elaborate and decorative butterflies also with couched gold wrapped thread decorative elements.

The condition is as you would expect for an antique textile with some rubs and losses to the floss silk embroidery there are also some loose threads.
