A museum quality hand embroidered shawl dating from the 19th century.
Embroidered in silks onto a finely woven pashmina ground, the work is highly skilled and intricate.
A lovely example which would make an excellent addition to a collection, or it could be used as a throw, wall hangings ir indeed worn for a very special occasion.
The shawl has been lined at a later date and has some historic and beautiful mends.
it is in excellent condition for a shawl of this antiquity and has obviously been treasured and stored carefully.
