Silk Kimono Robe Hand Painted Fringe: C1930s Japan for Export
A one of a kind silk kaftan/kimono/robe dating from the 1930’s.
This reminds me of a firebird the burnt orange silk brocade has been stencilled with a decorative floral elements in lilacs and greens.
The sleeves and hem are finished with a long silk fringe which has also been stencilled and hand painted to give it an ombre appearance.
Easy to wear, would look wonderful over a simple, plain outfit.
Made in a loose, unstructured style, would suit a ranges of sizes from U.K 10-14

In very good condition with a couple of sensitive historic mends. Some slight fading to the front, nothing detrimental to the piece as a whole.
