Dating from the first quarter of the 20th century the first of a companion pair of folk art kelim rugs.
Hand woven in naturally dyed wools in a traditional slit tapestry weave (kelim) these rugs are recognised as Moldavian possibly Ukrainian.
With a charming central motif of a cornucopia handled basket filled with huge cabbage roses and fuschias.
Useful size that would suit most interior settings, could be used as rug or hung on a wall.
