A traditional Persian C19th woman’s tailored jacket, with flared hips and tapering sleeves that extend beyond the wrist.

Made from a buttermilk coloured glazed cotton chintz printed with boteh and floral designs, echoing those found in Kashmir shawls.

The jacket is lined in a block printed loose weave loomed cotton, possibly from Russia.
