A absolutly stunning metal and silk thread hand embroidered chintz coat dating from the 1930s.
Hand embroidered over a chintz, Paisley like print with all over embroidery which really enhances the design and adds a wonderful texture and depth.
With a high, loose collar this coat in imminently wearable and you would really look and feel like a million dollars in this gorgeous coat.
The metal thread embroidery was designed to catch the light as the wearer moves. It is fully lined in a pink silky material, probably an early acetate, which is in remarkably good condition.

Good condition the coat has an overall patina of age as you would expect in an item of clothing from this era. The metal thread embroidery has acquired a lovely dark patina which we believe is lovely.
