This has to be a favourite amongst my recent buys.

From France and dating from around 1900 this beautiful handmade pale taupe muslin bodice with periwinkle blue hand embroidery is a delight.

Designed and handmade from a fine muslin type material which would have been intended for the summer months in
a warmer climate.

With wonderful leg ‘o’ mutton sleeves the blouse fastens with numerous hooks and eyes and has metal boning to ensure the desired shape is achieved when being worn.

A delightful addition to a collection, costume for film or television, for costume study, inspiration or display.

Ore house model Amis is a UK size 6/8.

Sleeve length: 54cm

Condition: Very Good.
Overall condition is remarkably good for an item of this age. Some marks to lining, nothing that you notice when it’s worn.
