Antique Hand Painted Dutch Glazed Chintz Panel: C19th Holland

Item Details.
A wonderful little panel of Dutch block printed and hand painted & glazed chintz dating from the 19th century.

With a pretty floral pattern worked in reds, purples and pinks onto a blue ground this is a lovely example of a Dutch chintz of this type

The design is clearly influenced by much earlier 18th century Indian chintzes.

This panel would benefit from being stretched and mounted, a service wa specialise in from our dedicated textile conservation studio.

Condition.
All of the items we sell are antique and as such have all the idiosyncrasies of an old and loved textile, so small marks, stains and signs of wear are to be expected and are an inherent part of their charm.
