Antique Pongee Damask Silk Kimono with Florals and Garden Scene: C1920 Japan for export

Dating from the 1920s and handmade in Japan for export, this gorgeous hand painted and printed kimono.

Made from a beautifully fine handmade silk damask which has then been hand-painted and then resist dyed and stencilled to create this beautiful kimono.

With beautiful rich reds & blues with dramatic flowers and a garden scene. The kimono has satin edged sleeves and hem and a cord fastening.

Amie our model is a uk size 8 but we think this set would fit a size 10/12 also.

Condition:
In excellent overall condition for antique item of clothing from the 1920s. There are a couple of tiny darns, a few tiny holes and a bit of scuffing (please see photos)
