A small decorative velvet cushion handmade with an 18th century gilt and silk thread embroidered panel.

In a beautiful yellow ochre this little cushion is such a joyful colour and would suit most interior settings.

The embroidery dates from the 1700s and has a floral motif (Tree of Life) worked in silver metal thread with the flowers worked in pale blue and pink silks.

The embroidery is bordered on each side by a panel of velvet and the cushion is backed in the same yellow velvet.

27 x 17 x 6.5cm

Condition.
In good antique condition with an overall patina of age and some light marks to the silk as you would expect in an item of this antiquity.
