Collection Gold and White Embroidered Antique Childrens Celebration Hats: C19th India

Item Details.
Am really pleased with this amazing find.
Dating from the late 19th century this collection of 3 handmade tinsel decorated ceremonial hats possibly made for a family of brothers for a wedding or celebration.

The hats differ slightly in size from larger to small. The smallest has an interesting folded paper decorative band and is made from a fine muslin which is embroidered with tiny polka dots.

The slightly larger hats are made from checked muslins and all of the hats have gold tinsel ribbon decoration and are finished with tinsel pom-poms and tassles.

small 44 cm circumference
medium 52 cm circumference
large 54cm circumference

Condition.
In good antique condition, some loose threads, signs of wear and an overall patina of age as is to be expected in an antique item of this antiquity.
