We have two panels of this hand embroidered wool crewelwork worked onto a gorgeous red cotton ground.
Each panel has a lovely traditional design with peacocks and flowers. Hand embroidered in India for the European market, and dating from the 1970s or possibly 1980s.
Previously used as curtains which have since been deconstructed they have no hems and raw edges.
They would suit a variety of interior settings, both modern and period.
Era and Usage.
Made in the 1970s. Plenty of fabric here for a good sized interiors project, curtains, bedcovers, upholstery or pillows.
