A stunning hand woven silk scarf or stole with stripes of blue, pink, black and pale olive green. the stole is finished with a pretty hand knotted fringe at either end.
Dating from the 19th century the stole was handloomed and is a traditional textile from Europe, designed to be worn by a fashionable woman over a wide full skirt, possible a crinoline.

In excellent antique condition so small marks and an overall patina of age.
