Mid Century Textile with Columns, Urns & Birds Shelia Walsh for Allan Walton Textiles: C1950s France

Item Details.
Dating from the mid century, and designed by Sheila Walsh (1912 - 1995) for Allan Walton textiles, a classically inspired fine furnishing weight cotton panel with a repeating design with columns, urns and birds.

Worked in a loose painterly style in taupes and mushrooms and hand screen printed onto a smooth, fine white cotton ground this would suit most interior settings/decor.

The design  is classically inspired and is heavily influenced by Greek and Roman architecture.

290 X 126cm

Condition.
In good antique condition with some light marks which may come out or be improved upon with specialist laundering. All of the textiles we sell are antique and may have some idiosyncrasies you would expect with used and loved cloth such as small marks, repairs, loose threads and an overall patina of age.
