Handmade vintage silk dress with lovely pastel colour chinoiserie print inspired by the art of Asia.
It has stylised depictions of figures chatting, one leans on the bough of a tree holding a tea or coffee pot. A couple of youths sit reading in a garden there are also mythical beasts, deer, antelope, with birds and floral motifs framing each ‘story’.
The dress has a tailored bodice and pleated skirt. The bodice is finished with Tibet floral shaped yellow ochre buttons and fastens with a side zip.
The condition is good for a garment from this era, tge silk facings are discoloured, but could easily be replaced, please ask us for a quote for this service.
