A beautiful coat made from an interesting gold stencilled midnight blue cotton, probably once a shawl and made up in the 1970s or 80s(?) possibly theatrical.
Makes a lovely coat dress or evening coat, which wonderful 19th century silk fringing on the sleeves.
A stunning piece with peacocks in an Art Nouveau inspired design which we think was probably made in India, possibly indigo wax resist from Hunan.
In excellent wearable condition.
