An exquisite beaded Victorian bag from Macedonia and dating from the 1925.
Beautifully hand made with bold coloured beads, with roses, a wreath and initials.
The beads are all glass, probably Venetian, and would have been produced by highly skilled crafted person.
The beads are in the most exquisite colours, mainly in milk glass with light greens, reds, brown and blue. The bag is unlined and shows the back of the canvas that the beadwork is stitched to.
The bag has its original drawstring and is finished with an orange beaded handle with gorgeous beaded tassles and fringing along the base.
Measurements:
23 x 16.5cm without fringe.
Condition.
Good antique condition with a few missing beads on tassles.
