From Asia a pair of fine hand embroidered pewter grey slippers/mules dating from the first half of the 19th century.
Made from a pewter grey cotton which has been embroidered with a stylised tree of life motif. The slippers or mules are fully lined in white leather and have small hand stitched leather heels
Highly collectible and decorative they would be a great addition to a collection or for costume study purposes.
Measurements: 24.5 x 9cm (9.75 x 3.5 inches)
Condition.
They are in time worn antique condition with some rubs and losses to the cotton uppers and an over all patina of age as you would expect in an item of this antiquity.
