An extraordinary decorative antique ceremonial Zardozi embroidered garland dating from 19th century India.

Possibly worn for a wedding or similar celebration, it is incredibly intricate & has been beautifully handmade.

Hand worked in gilt bullion thread over cloth with areas of stumpwork and sequins which add decorative elements and which would catch the light as the wearer moves.

Condition.
In great, usable condition. These pieces have all the idiosyncrasies of an aged and loved piece of cloth so small marks, stains and signs of wear are to be expected and are an inherent part of their charm.
