Edwardian Silk Chiffon & Lace Blouse or Bodice: C1900 France

Item Details.
A beautiful silk chiffon Edwardian blouse or bodice dating from 1900.

The bodice has been beautifully made with a layer of grey silk chiffon overlaying lace with a layer of orange silk chiffon underneath which gives pretty two tone effect.

The bodice has been beautifully decorated with a black velvet bow at the neck and grape coloured silk satin collar, cuffs and tiny covered buttons.

Please note this blouse is fragile and is not for wearing. It’s is for a collector, designer or costume maker.

Bust: 32 inches 82 cm
Waist: 22 inches 56 cm
Length: 15 inches 38 cm

Condition.
The condition is good for a garment from this era. There are a few small flaws, some missing eyes and an overall patina of age, but nothing that’s detrimental to the overall loveliness of this gorgeous blouse. The lining from the collar and cuffs is missing.
