We absolutely love this 19th century petite bodice/jacket originating from France.
Expertly constructed from a sand coloured linen it has decorative lines of off white ric rac braid and beautiful details including the most extraordinary pagoda sleeves.
Made with a delightful full pleated peplum on the back to accommodate a bustle we can date this bodice to the late 1870s.

In good antique condition with an overall patina of age. Some of the ric rac is missing and braid on one side, nothing detrimental to the piece as a whole.
