Dating from the 18th century a long crimson silk damask pelmet or bed hanging from Italy.
In a beautiful deep pink red and women with exotic floral and foliate motifs there’s enough silk here for a good sized project.
Originally used as a hanging inside a four poster bed it is edged with the original narrow silk fringe which runs around three sides.
It is fully lined with a fine glazed cotton chintz.

151cm long x 44cm wide
Condition:
In excellent condition with a few tiny marks which it may be possible to remove with specialist cleaning.
