Antique Textile Panel with Fine Detailed Print of Passion Flowers:

Item Details.
A 19th century French cotton print fabric. Probably first half 1800's. Repeating design of large passion flowers with small hortencia blossoms.

Colours are pale yellow and cream with shades of a beautiful aubergine/mauve in the blosssoms and background.

Measurements:

98 cm from top to bottom

The width is 86 cm wide (still has part of the selvage at one side and the full selvage at the other side).

Condition:

Quilted at one time so you will see light quilt lines. Some holes and wear at the sides, and some historic mends. Good piece for small projects, upscaling and documentation. No obvious stains. Colors are good and consistant.

The fabric has been given a very long cold water soak to remove dust and dirt and then a gentle wash in cold water with soaps without bleaching agents.

It is our aim to deliver and clean and pressed product when possible but take great care to preserve the original color and the integretity of the fabric.
