Decorative Gold Gilt Toleware Headdress Laurel & Oak Leaves: C1900 France

Item Details.

A very fine gold gilt toleware crown or tiara, small in size so possibly for a santos or for display.

In our current stock we have a long branch shaped piece made in exactly the same way with laurel and oak leaves which was awarded as a prize and we believe this is probably for the same purpose.

It could be enlarged fairly simply by a jeweler and put into a larger size band in order to be worn….it would make a beautiful and highly original wedding headdress/ tiara.

Condition: Very good antique condition with an overall patina of age and some darkening to metal as you would expect in an item of this antiquity.
