Embroidered Ottoman Bag with Minarets : C19th Turkey

Item Details.
A gilt embroidered bag from Turkey. This bag is particularly interesting - covered in gold gilt applied braid embroidery and incorporating a depiction of a mosque on one side, with a traditional decorative pattern on the other. It has been finished with gilt drawstring braiding and tiny handmade tassels.

Fully lined in soft sky blue cotton, this bag would be a useful addition to a collection.

Era and Usage.
Made in the 19th century.
In usable condition and would make a lovely addition to a bridal or special occasion outfit. It would also be a superb and original gift.

6.5 X 9 1/4 inches ( 17 x 23.5 cm)

Condition: Excellent.
In very good, usable condition. The gilt metal threads are a little discoloured with age and have a lovely antique patina as you would expect in an item of this antiquity.
