Kalamkari or qalamkar hanging from Asia circa 1860. Block printed and hand painted using natural pigments onto a fine cotton. Originally designed to be hung on a wall or in a doorway.
Imagery includes sun discs with faces, leopards and lions attacking deer/antelope. Exotic birds and peacocks and two large cypress trees rising from a rocky mount. In good condition.
