Large Size Antique Block Printed Classic Design Panel Toile: C19th France

Dating from the second half of the 19th century and block(?) printed in soft muted madder reds and pinks with line detailing in a washed out black.

It has a classical inspired design with the larger roundels containing decorative pastoral scenes whilst the smaller roundels contain ships in sail, coronets and birds.

Printed onto a lovely heavy weight strong linen this panel is big enough panel to use as a throw or for an upholstery project.

240 x 189cm
