Antique Ottoman Silk Velvet Textile.
This is a very beautiful voided silk velvet mat / yastik cushion cover.
Made in the Ottoman Empire during the 18th century (if not earlier).
Bursa or Istanbul.
Made with natural vegetable dyes in a stunning colour combination of deep coral orange with pale indigo blues and magenta pink.
Featuring floral patterns and symbols of fertility, suggesting that it was perhaps intended as a wedding gift.

A wonderful textile that displays well on a wall.
Condition:
For its age it is in very good antique condition. Some fading to colours and antique wear from centuries of use.
