Pair of Ceremonial Rose Water Sprinklers: C19th India

A pair of decorative engraved brass repoussé ceremonial rose water sprinklers. Made in India in the latter part of the  19th century they would have been used at ceremonies in a domestic setting.

A lovely size and pleasing shape these would look well in most interior settings or as part of a display.

The sprinklers have been expertly etched by hand and show depictions of dancing figures surrounded by a highly intricate and decorative foliate patterning.

The condition is good for items of this antiquity, some minor dents, and an overall patina of age all as you would expect, and nothing detrimental to the pieces as a whole.
