A wonderful pair of never used embroidered silk slipper fronts from China. Made from museum worthy fine hand embroidered silk and dating from the 19th century.
The silk embroidery exquisitely worked in forbidden stitch and has flowers, buds and foliage in soft but vibrant colours which work well against the warm brown silk satin ground.
The embroidery is extremly fine and is of the highest quality and because they are uncut they are in fabulous condition.
These would work very well if stretched and mounted, and framed. This is a service we can offer from our dedicated textile conservation studio. Please ask us for details.
