Am thrilled with this addition to our collection, this museum worthy handmade panel or cover with silk embroidery dating from the 19th century.
Made from a fine flat woollen broadcloth (possibly Stroud?) in a beautiful pale putty colour with decorative silk embroidery in magenta, off white, yellow and blue with brown.
This panel would work very well as a wall hanging or a throw on the back of a sofa, or for covering an occasional table.

Condition.
In excellent antique condition with an overall patina of age some slight losses to the silk embroidery, nothing noticeable.
