Antique Wall Hanging with Very Fine Silk Floral Embroidery: C19th Continental Europe

An extraordinary wall hanging with museum worthy fine silk embroidery.

Worked by a skilled professional hand in silks during the later half of the 19th century onto a black wooden broadcloth, possibly from Stroud in Gloucestershire.

From Continental Europe, Italy or Spain this incredible work of embroidery deserves to be conserved and mounted ready to hang on a wall where it can be appreciated and admired. This is a service we can offer from our dedicated textile conservation studio. Please ask us for details.
