A hand stencilled panel on a cotton velvet ground dating from the 1920s Art Deco period, in the chinoiserie style so popular during this period.
European in origin and stencilled by hand using iridescent colours in copper, gold and silver, with stylised depictions of birds perched on wisteria branches outlined against the moon.
In excellent antique condition.
