From France an extraordinary Art Deco cutwork curtain panel or wall hanging dating from the 1920s.
With a seaside theme this white cutwork cotton and embroidered panel has stylised galleons, birds, fish, shells and starfish, all individually cut out and finished with hand embroidery using mercerised cotton.
A striking and interesting piece that would suit many interior settings. It would work well in a doorway as a curtain or as a wallhanging.
