An extraordinary find! This extraordinary Art Deco era embroidered and crocheted wall hanging or curtain panel.
Made in France C1920 this would look stunning hanging at a long window or displayed on a wall or stairwell.
Made us a pretty sea blue/green with appliquéd florals and foliage in pretty soft colours. The bottom edge has a gorgeous 3 dimensional border which has been finished with a long fringe.
Measurements:
155cm wide x 265 long + 40cm fringe
Condition:
The condition is very good considering the age of this stunning textile. As you would expect it has an overall patina of age and if anything is possibly more beautiful for it. There are some historic mends and we have restored some of the netting in our conservation studio.
