Art Nouveau Embroidered Lace Appliqué Curtain Panel Chateau Length: C1910 France

From the early 1900’s comes this Art Nouveau Lace appliqué curtain panel. Made for a chateau length window or door.

With appliquéd motifs worked in a very fine cotton onto a net ground with embroidered detailing, you can clearly discern the Art Nouveau influences in the design.

This panel would look wonderful hanging at a door or long window, and it would also work really well as a wall hanging or a drape behind a bed.

Difficult to capture the beauty of this panel we have photographed it in a window with the light coming through and against a black backdrop to show the intricacy of the embroidery. We’ve also just added some photographs of the panel hanging outside.

It is in good antique condition with a small scattering of holes in the net ground, it is not hemmed  along the top edge so that you are free to make it the length that is required. Some loose threads as you would expect in and antique lace panel of this antiquity.

The panel has a soft pale yellow colouring which is lovely, and would suit most interior settings.
