Dating from the late 17th century and from Venice, Italy which was famous for making the best lace in the world, a long border length of hand made Gros Point Needlelace.
The work is so fine and is of museum quality, it really needs to be looked at under a magnifying lens to fully appreciate the minute detail and quality of the work.
A good sized length that deserves a palace in a collection, or for study.
Measurements: 178 x 17cm
Condition: In excellent antique condition, with an overall patina of age. Some surface discolouration and slightly soloed appearance which could be in proved with specialist cleaning. Please ask us for details.
