Item Details.
Christopher Dresser first designed “Hera” as a woven silk fabric for William Fry, Dublin ca 1876. It was later produced, as here, as a printed cotton registered by the Rossendale Printing Company in 1900 and sold by the likes of Liberty and Co, London.

The Hera textile design was named after the Greek Goddess associated with peacocks, the feathers were incredibly fashionable with the aesthetic movement of the late 19th century.

We have four original antique panels of this textile for sale the price is for all four panels, they are original ca 1900 and not later reprints.
