Dating from the early 18th century a wonderfully naïve embroidery with appliqué figures including putti, in an antique oval, carved and gilded wooden frame.

Hand embroidered and appliquéd onto a cream silk ground, this was possibly once part of an ecclesiastical banner hanging in a church.

The work is European, possibly French but we can’t be certain.

A lovely piece that would suit most interior settings.

Because of the size, weight and fragility of this piece we cannot ship outside the UK. Collection in person only please.
