An extraordinary pelmet or bed hanging circa 18th century in unused perfect condition.
Embroidered in Italy in a popular and distinctive counted thread stitch which was favoured in this part of the world.
The panel looks as though it has never been used and the yellow silk lining is as vivid today as it was when it was first made.
This panel would benefit greatly from being stretched and mounted, a service which we are pleased to offer from our dedicated studios.
