Toile de Jouy panel with cupids and Goddesses: C1800 France
Item Details.
From France a panel of early Toile de Jouy dating from c. 1800.
This toile is documented and is known as Les Losanges (Lozenges)
Printed on cotton in a peat brown it has a pattern with lozenges containing cornucopias, trophies and musical instruments interrupted by various shapes in the foreground bearing the images of goddesses and cupids.

Condition.
In good antique condition, some minor fading, historic repairs and a raw curved edge along the bottom where this has been cut into. It has been attached to a piece of hand loomed linen at some point in its history.
