A delightful traditional folk art hand embroidered linen panel with pretty and decorative urns of flowers and embroidery worked in traditional red and white which has faded to a soft deep pink.

These older panels are becoming increasingly rare and we bought this as part of a collection. Please see our other listings for more from this collection.

Part of a long tradition of red and white embroidered linen this comes from
the Balkans and dates from the late 19th century made as part of a bride’s trousseau these would have been hung decoratively throughout the home.

Hand worked in cross stitch in a traditional design of roses, this decorative panel could be used to dress a small window or door with a glass panel.

125cm L x 40.5cm W

Condition.
In excellent antique condition. All of the textiles we sell are antique and may have some of the idiosyncrasies of historic and loved textiles such as small flaws, marks, old mends and an overall patina of age. These are to be expected and are part of the textiles story and journey.
