Antique Traditional Embroidered Folk Art Curtain Panel or Runner: C19th Slovakia

Item Details.
A short curtain panel or runner with lines of intricate and complicated pulled or drawn thread work.

Probably Slovakian and dating from the late 19th or early 20th century this is another mind boggling example of expertly executed drawn thread work from our studio collection

The panel has a selvedge edge along the top and is finished with a decorative edging/ fringe which is stitched to the side and along the bottom edges.

A useful addition to a collection or could be stitched onto a plain linen panel to make a wallhanging or decorative panel.

Condition.
In good antique condition with an overall patina of age and some tiny areas of discoloration, historic mends, and small holes - as you would expect of a domestic textile of this age that’s been used and passed down through the generations.
