Item Details.
A long traditional hand embroidered suzani wall hanging/border made in Uzbekistan during the first half of the 20th century circa 1920 or 1930s.

Made to hang across a door of a tent/yurt and hand embroidered in silks onto a black cotton ground with floral and other traditional motifs passed down through the generations.
The hanging has been finished along tge lower edge with a lovely faded magenta silk fringe.

Would work very well as a hanging on a wall or as a door curtain (portier) or other interior design project.

210 X110cm

Condition.
In excellent antique condition. Has an overall patina of age as you would expect in a textile from this era. Some tiny holes which you only see on holding the textile up to the light.
