Entirely hand stitched, this traditional silk embroidered child’s tunic in saffron yellow silk with orange/red silk chain stitch embroidery, from Sind, Pakistan first half C20th.
This tunic is in excellent antique condition and has been beautifully enlarged at some point in its history to accommodate a growing child.
There is a similar dress in the V&A collection, London.
Measurements taken whilst laying flat:
Across front: 55cm (21 inches)
Length: 59cm (23 inches)
Condition.
The condition of the tunic is good, with some small holes on the reverse.
